Nevada Marriage License Information

Weddings in Nevada are taking place around the clock. The marriage license bureau is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to Midnight.

Persons applying for a marriage license must appear together in person in the Office of the County Clerk. The parties must be at least 18 years old, have a picture I.D. such as a Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. or Green Card. If either or both parties has been previously married and divorced, they may bring a copy of the final decree of divorce or must know the date of the final decree of divorce, county and state it was finalized in.

One of the drawing cards for Nevada is that no blood tests are required and there is no waiting period. Proof of age: Applicants whose age may be questioned will be required to provide a certified copy of the Official record of birth. A Nevada marriage license expires after 1 year of issuance, and the date of expiration is entered on each license.

Fee for issuance of a marriage license is $68.00. The marriage ceremony may be performed within 1 year. Certified copies of the marriage can be acquired within a month after the ceremony . Brides, make sure you order enough copies to change your name on anything that relates to the Government. Before you order your copies, call your banks, insurance companies, credit card companies, etc. to see if they will accept a photo copy, as this would not cost as much. But as already stated, order enough original certified copies for anything Governmental. To help make your task easy, just order the Name Change Kit, and this will save you time, and money, as "time is money". The "Official New Bride Name Change Kit" is a consolidated, easy to use kit that contains all required Official Government Forms, to go from Maiden to Married! This convenient time saving kit also contains special custom designed forms to change your banking/financial, loans, insurance, credit cards, medical, etc. etc....To find out more about the kit, you can either call us at 702-437-3359, and find out more about the kit, or e-mail us at: aministeronlocation@yahoo.com

Please Be Aware: Anything you receive in the mail, requesting for you to order your certified documents from them, please destroy that, as this is not from the State, and these companies will charge you more than the State, and you may or may not receive your documents, as some of these companies are out to get your money..Just remember to order from the State, and the State will not solicit you or remind you that your document has been registered. Allow 3 to 4 weeks for the State to record your document, then you can mail them a check or money order per copy, or you can pick them up at the County Recorder's Office, in the county where the license was issued. The best way is to order your certificates online, website; www.clarkcountynv.gov
